Sleep Dentistry

A trip to the dentist can be a daunting and uncomfortable experience for some people. At Maylands Dental Centre, we often see this preventing people from seeking the dental treatment they need, resulting in their existing conditions worsening. This is not something we want any of our patients experiencing. To avoid this, we offer the opportunity to provide Sedation (‘Sleep’) Dentistry with the use of intravenous (“IV”) sedation administered and supervised by a qualified and experienced medically trained anaesthetist. Often referred to as “Conscious Sedation”, a combination of sedating and pain relieving drugs are given by the anaesthetist to put you into a calm and relaxed state while you undergo dental treatment. Sedation dentistry is available for any dental procedure and is especially useful for those that require more complex work or for really anxious patients.

Our of qualified and friendly team will take care of you. With years of experience and training, you are in safe hands.
Save time. Complex or extensive procedures that often require multiple appointments can be done in one visit.
You won't remember a thing. For those with concerns about dental treatment, treatment under sedation will feel like a quick nap!
Bypass physical limitations. If you struggle with a sensitive gag reflex or dread the thought of having to sit in a chair and keep your mouth open.
Medicare and health fund rebates available!

The cost of having treatment under IV sedation will vary depending on the complexity of your case and the amount of time it will take for your dentist to complete the procedure. This will be assessed at your initial consultation where all fees and rebates will be explained.

Our practice offers 0% (no interest) financing options so that you have options. Flexible payments that fit your monthly budget so that you can easily afford to have your dental health restored.
