Get To Know Dr. Shilpa Datta

Dr. Shilpa Datta is a general dentist at Maylands Dental Centre. She graduated from the University of Queensland with honours and has completed further postgraduate training in advanced aesthetic and restorative dentistry through the University of Portsmouth in the UK, as well as additional training in implant dentistry and dental sleep medicine.

Shilpa provides care across general dentistry and has a particular interest in restorative treatment planning, aligner therapy, dental implants, smile design, and supporting patients who may feel unsure about dental treatment. Her approach is to take time to explain options clearly, answer questions, and help each patient make informed decisions about their oral health.

Having returned home to Perth, Shilpa enjoys being part of the local community and working with patients over the long term. Outside the clinic, she enjoys travel, Latin partner dancing, films, and discovering new places to eat.
